So, after perusing someone's blog, Chris's I believe that was pointing out that the holiday season is coming around. You can see it everywhere.
I saw my first holiday commercial OCTOBER 1st!!!! Went into the mall, stores are COMPLETLY decked out already. It's not even Halloween yet, heck, at that point fall hadn't really happened up here, and here we are, PUSHING the holidays down my throat. It has STOPPED being about the birth of Jesus and more about what we can get under the tree and how soon can we get the consumers to see that. Now, I realize that the Christmas season makes the world go round, money wise, BUT how about NOT pushing it down our throats to go out and shop in September? October? November? Let US make the decisions. Seemed to work just fine for my parents, and their parents, why can't it work for us? Can't we all make a stand to say no more? And really think about the holiday season for what it is?
